Joanna Young is an accomplished leader in clinical research with over 20 years' experience in medical device research and development. Joanna has worked across all stages of research from product design, validation and feasibility through to pivotal and post-marketing trials. Her experience spans IVDs, class II and class III medical devices. Prior to joining Medcura, Joanna was European operations lead for Medical Device & Diagnostics at Syneos Health and was responsible for a large portfolio (>$70MM) of global pivotal trials which culminated in multiple PMA submissions within the last twelve months of her tenure (including for a novel hemostat). Additionally, Joanna led an initiative to bring processes and procedures into compliance with medical device standards and regulations. She was also instrumental in developing a partnership with the commercial arm of Syneos Health to provide Field Clinical Engineer services for device clients. Previous experience encompasses diverse roles within Johnson & Johnson, management of an academic clinical research facility and clinical trial oversight at global CROs IQVIA (formerly Novella) and Fortrea (formerly Theorem Clinical).
